Pro's and Con's; Buttercream vs Freshcream

Buttercream Pro's

Buttercream sets and holds its shape well once refrigerated.
Can stay fresh at room temperature for up to 2 days safely.
Perfect for Long-Distance Travel
Buttercream frostings can be refrigerated for up to a week or frozen for months.

Buttercream Con's

Bring refrigerated buttercream to room temp and re-whip before serving for best consistency. Can take up-to 3 hours.
Refrigerate all-butter recipes to prevent melting.
Requires a high icing sugar content to mask up the butter taste.

Freshcream Pro's

Fresh cream is light & delicate.
Ready to eat at anytime and maintains its smooth consistency throughout.
Noticeably less sweeter than buttercream.
Compliments fresh fruit fillings perfectly.
Frozen can last 3 months and turns into Ice-Cream Cake.

Freshcream Con's

Fresh cream fillings need refrigeration at all times to stay safe and fresh.
Avoid leaving the cake at room temperature for more than 2 hours to prevent spoilage.
Must freeze to withstand long-distance travels and even then is limited to duration.
